'Pak Army close to winning war against terrorism'

Islamabad, Sep 24: Pakistan Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Kayani has said the military is close to winning the war against terrorism.

Addressing troops during his visit to South Wazirisitan and Tank, General Kayani said the strategy adopted by the army during its all out operation against the extremists in the region together with the people's support, has helped security forces dismantle the terror network.

During his visit Kayani was briefed about the present scenario in the region and the steps initiated by the army to reduce the number of casualties during the operation against the militants, The Dawn reports.
