Inflation rises for 2nd week, stands at 0.37pc
New Delhi, Sep 24: Rising for the second consequtive week, India's Inflation rate stood at 0.37 per cent for the week ended Sep 12, up from the 0.12 per cent of the previous week.
According to the government data released on Thursday, Sep 24,the annual Wholesale Price Index (WPI) was at 12.42 per cent during the corresponding week of 2008.
During this fiscal year, the build-up inflation so far has been 6.12 per cent, compared to 6.62 per cent in the corresponding period of the previous year. The 52-week average inflation for the week ended Sep 12 was 3.22 per cent, the official data said.
During the week, mutton, spices, wheat, maize, sugar, mustard oil and gur got costlier.
