Kabul: Suicide car bomber kills 6 Italian soldiers
Kabul, Sep 17: At least six Italian soldiers were killed and four others were injured when a suicide bomber crashed his car into a military convoy in the central Kabul in Afghanistan.
The explosion shattered windows in buildings about half a mile away and shook offices and homes throughout the central Afghan neighborhood, an official said.
It was at least the fourth blast in or near the capital in the weeks before and after the Aug 20 election. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast.
In the latest, a car bomb exploded on Sep 8 near the entrance to the military airport in Kabul in an attack on a NATO convoy, killing three civilians.
