Chinese residents angry at superstitious hotel's floor interchange
New Delhi, Sep 17 (ANI): A hotel situated in a 30-story building in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, is said to have infuriated its residents after it changed its floor numbers based on superstition, and mixed up its room numbers.
The hotel, which is situated on the fourth and fifth floors of the building, decided to start its room numbers with the digits six and eight, as the number 4 is considered to be an unlucky number, reports the China Daily.
But the move was not met with favour by residents on the sixth and eighth floors of the building, as the room numbers on the fourth floor are the same as theirs.
"Sometimes, we even have prostitutes knocking on our door in the middle of the night," a woman surnamed Ye, who lives on the sixth floor, said. (ANI)
