UK PM serves Indian food to woo trade union bosses

London, Sep 14: Gordon Brown seems to have found an unusual way to win over ill-tempered trade union members- Indian food.

According to reports, in his latest meeting with the union bosses, the British Prime Minister reportedly served an Indian meal in a bid to woo the chiefs who are not very happy about the plans to cut spending ahead of the next general elections.

He served the 15 guests with chicken curry and other Indian dishes instead of the usual beer and sandwiches, reported a UK daily.

Brown is trying to avoid the possible union revolt that could end up hurting the Labour party's prospects in the next general election coming up in 2010.
