11 more H1N1 deaths takes India's toll to 149
New Delhi, Sep 11: Swine flu continued to spread across the country as 11 more deaths and 176 fresh cases of the viral disease were reported on Thursday, Sep 10.
The 11 deaths were reported from one in Delhi and five each from Maharashtra and Karnataka raising the H1N1 toll to 149 across the country.
Delhi reported the maximum 68 cases followed by Haryana (14), Karnataka (32), Tamil Nadu (19) and Maharashtra (26).
Delhi reported its fifth swine flu death when a 12-year-old girl undergoing treatment succumbed to the viral infection.
The prestigious Doon School in Dehradun suspended its classes on Thursday, Sep 10 till September 21 in the wake of five students testing positive for H1N1 virus on Tuesday, Sep 8.
