Ramalinga Raju detected with Hepatitis

Hyderabad, Sep 8: Former Chairman of Satyam Computers B Ramalinga Raju, admitted to Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) here following chest pain, was detected with Hepatitis.

"Raju has chronic HCV hepatitis with high viral load and elevated ALT levels," said the doctors.

On Monday, Aug 31, Raju was admitted the NIMS hospital from Chanchalguda jail for medical check-up.

Two months ago, doctors of Osmania Medical College, had advised Raju to undergo treatment under expert guidance.

"After he was referred from Osmania to NIMS, Raju was supposed to visit our hospital this week, but he got admitted yesterday after complaining of chest pain," NIMS Medical Superintendent Dr N Satyanarayana told a news agency.
