Hyderabad, Sep 2: Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy still remained untraced after his helicopter went missing in the dense forest area of Nallamalalla hill range on Wednesday, Sep 2 at 09:35 AM.

Addressing the press conference, Finance Minister K Rosaiah said that he is in constant touch with the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) as well as the defence ministry.

He also said that it is becoming difficult to search as weather is adding the problem, but we are still hopeful that YSR Reddy will be fine.

PRP chief Chiranjeevi and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu are also in touch with us. Even President Prathiba Patil also called us from Russia, he said.

Chief Secreatry of Andhra Pradesh Ramakant Reddy said, "The army, police forces from 6 districts, ISRO and anti-Naxal forces are all involved in search and rescue operations now."

"We are also trying for help from united states defence department," he said.

Speaking to reporters, Home Minister P Chidambaram said, "There is no good news yet. We are keeping our fingers crossed. Our prayers are with Rajasekhara Reddy and his family."

The helicopter has been stopped for the time being because of weather and light conditions. Tomorrow in the first light of the day, helicopters will continue the search, he said.
