BJP succession plans not yet decided

New Delhi, Aug 29: Both BJP and RSS refused to comment on succession plans though RSS agreed to advise BJP if asked.

These questions arose as LK Advani met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

“No discussion is currently on any succession plan. Leadership is not being discussed," said Prakash Javedekar, BJP spokesperson.

He added that there was no discussions on resignation.

RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav echoed the same view.

“The talks with BJP are only about how to make the party better," he said.

“These are normal routine meeting."

Amidst so much speculation as to who would hold the party reign, on Saturday, Aug 29, top BJP leaders including Sushma Swaraj, the Deputy Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha met at LK Advani's residence.
