Mehsud killing: Pak intelligence reports warn of possible Taliban retaliation
Lahore, Aug.17 (ANI): Pakistani intelligence agencies have warned that members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) may launch a fresh series of suicide and terror attacks across the country to avenge the killing of former TTP chief Baitullah Mehsud.
According to the Daily Times, the agencies on Sunday informed the home departments of all four provinces to beef up security and enforce foolproof systems to check any suspicious activity.
A notification warned the home departments that enraged TTP members could target security installations, important official buildings and personalities to avenge Baitullah's killing in a US drone attack.
