Prince Harry 'passes' basic helicopter training course
London, Aug 16 (ANI): Prince Harry is all set to start on his advanced pilot training after having completed 40 hours of flight with flying colours.
The 24-year-old has gained expertise in take-off, landing, basic helicopter handling and some advanced handling. He has also been successful in completing ground school, which he found difficult initially.
A spokesman for St James's Palace said: "Prince Harry has successfully completed basic flying training at RAF Shawbury and now moves to the advanced flying course."
According to royal aides the Prince is "delighted" after completing the first phase of his training. Sources also reveal that the Prince may now choose to fly Lynx support helicopters, than taking on the Apaches or Gazelles, the two other helicopters of the Army Air Corps.he Prince will now start the next training session at RAF Shawbury in Shropshire.
He will take to another 40 hours of flying learning techniques like night-flying, 'instrument' flying in bad weather, more emergency drills, and more advanced handling techniques. (ANI)
