Eight militants killed, 14 arrested in Swat, Malakand: Pak Army
Islamabad, Aug. 5 (ANI): Pakistani security forces have killed eight militants and arrested 14 suspects during military operations in Swat, Dir and Malakand.
Three militants were killed during a search operation in the Goratai area of the Swat valley.
Another four militants, including an important militant commander, Shakoor, were killed by a local lashkar (tribal militia) in Doog Darra area of Upper Dir district.
Troops managed to destroy fifteen militants' hideouts in Kabalgram, Shangla and Charbagh areas of Swat.
According to the ISPR, security forces raided the house of an alleged terrorist in Munz Banda and recovered 20 kilograms of explosives, detonators and other materials used to produce improvised explosive devices (IEDs). (ANI)
