Melbourne, July 29 (ANI): The lawyer of a stripper, accused of raping the best man at a buck's night with a sex toy, has said that the incident was an 'accident'.

The Victorian County Court heard that the best man was completely naked and on his hands and knees, when he was allegedly raped by the stripper with a "statuesque" pink sex toy.

Stripper Linda Maree Naggs, 40, argued that the rape at the party in the bayside Melbourne suburb of Mornington in September 2007 was actually an accident.

The court was told that the alleged victim had volunteered to take part in a dildo routine, but asked the stripper not to penetrate him.

However, it is alleged that as she was performing her routine, the man felt a sharp pain and the sex toy enter his anus, and he later showed the stripper blood he had wiped from his bottom.

And today, Naggs' lawyer Paul Higham held up the dildo to the jury, and describing it as being of a "statuesque nature".

"This is the tool that apparently was used to commit the rape. The facts of which are quite unique. Certainly, I think we all agree extraordinary," News.com.au quoted him as saying.

He added: "This is a case of accidental rape, if in fact there is one."

Higham said that during the performance the best man was stark naked "with all his bits on show".

"He then got down on all fours, if I can use the expression 'doggie style'," he said.

Higham said that he preferred describing his client as a "dancer", and claimed that it was the alleged victim who found her website and ordered her.

On the other hand, prosecutor Kieran Gilligan said Naggs was the second stripper for the night at the party, and came armed with a whip, vibrator and "strap on penis shaped" sex toy.

He said the best man urged Naggs not to penetrate him, but she did not keep that in mind.

The best man reported the rape to police the next day.

Judge Tim Wood said the case "perhaps has some notoriety about it" and urged the jury to decide it only on the facts before them in court.

Naggs, of Rosebud West, has pleaded not guilty to one count of rape.

The trial continues tomorrow. (ANI)
