33 Taliban fighters killed in South Waziristan, Malakand: Pak Army

Rawalpindi, July 23 (ANI): The Pakistan Army has killed at least 27 Taliban fighters in various districts of the Malakand division in the last 24 hours.

According to an ISPR statement, fighter jets pounded Taliban hideouts in South Waziristan killing six close aides of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Baitullah Mehsud.

A military official was reportedly killed in North Waziristan when the Taliban fired two mortar shells at an army camp in Khar. Five other troops were also injured in the incident. Injured were airlifted to Peshawar, where condition of at least one official is stated to be critical, The Daily Times reports.

In Bajaur, six wanted Taliban commanders were nabbed by local people and handed over to the administration. (ANI)
