Stationary train catches fire in Amritsar, no casualties
Amritsar, July 22 (ANI): A coach of a stationary train caught fire here on Wednesday.
However, no casualties were reported.
The air-conditioned coach of the 'Golden Temple' Express was charred in the fire that broke out while the train was parked at Amritsar railway station.
The railway authorities are assessing the loss to the property. Investigations were underway to ascertain the cause of fire.
"The fire broke around 9.50 a.m. Train operation has not been affected. The train would depart at its time in the evening," said Vimal Kumar, a station superintendent.
The train would leave for Mumbai on Wednesday night. (ANI)
