Brit women want Nigella Lawson's curves, not Keira Knightley's thin frame
London, July 22 (ANI): So long stick-thin frame, today's British women want to have classic hourglass figures - with curvy celebrities like Nigella Lawson beating skinny stars like Keira Knightley.
In a poll of 2,000 women, celebrity chef Lawson was voted the most inspiring body shape.
Actresses Dame Helen Mirren, Kate Winslet, Dame Judi Dench and Julie Walters were also deemed to have inspiring bodies. They were joined in the top 10 by TV presenters Holly Willoughby and Kirstie Allsopp, reports The Daily Express.
Kate Moss and actress Knightley didn't make the cut.
According to the study to mark the 50th anniversary of Kellogg's Special K cereal, a third of British women (35 per cent) saw themselves as apple-shaped with an undefined waistline.
A further 25 per cent claimed to be pear-shaped with a big bottom. nly 13 per cent of women regarded themselves as the perfect hourglass.
But a whopping 65 per cent dream of acquiring this shape.
Laura Bryant, of Special K, said the report showed that women's attitudes to slimming had changed since the 1980s and 1990s.
"It seems British women have lost their waists but now they are demanding them back," she added. (ANI)
