Hot-shot Aussies to ascend Africa's highest peak
Sydney, July 6 (ANI): Several high profile Australians, including Prime Minister Kevin Rudd's wife Therese Rein and Shadow treasurer Joe Hockey, are set to climb Africa's highest peak.
Hockey will attempt to ascend Tanzania's Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for medical equipment for sick children, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
Sunrise host David Koch will be accompanying him on the trip at the end of this month.
"The hill up Mosman (in Sydney's lower north shore) is a big hill to run up, but we need something bigger," Hockey told a radio station.
On a separate trip, Rudd's wife and son Nicolas will also attempt the climb.
