Bansal gets additional charge of water resources ministry

New Delhi, June 14 (ANI): A Rashtrapati Bhawan communiqué on Sunday announced that Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal would given additional charge of the water resources ministry.

The leadership of the ministry fell vacant after Meira Kumar was elected the Lok Sabha Speaker.

The communiqué further announced the appointment of Pratik Prakashbapu Patil as the new Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports.

Incumbent Arun Yadav has been moved to Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Ministry in the same capacity, the communiqué added.

Patil was earlier the Minister of State for Heavy Industries.

President Pratibha Patil cleared the new appointments in consultation with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the communiqué said. (ANI)
