Ex-serviceman held for raping daughter in Delhi

New Delhi, Jun 11: An ex-serviceman was held on Wednesday, Jun 11 for allegedly raping his teenage daughter in Sultanpuri area of outer Delhi. Police said that the 40-year-old man repeatedly raped his 16-year-old daughter over the last two and a half months.

The girl, a class XI student at a government college in the area, narrated the incident to her mother after which her mother took her to the police station and lodged a complaint. A medical examination conducted on the girl confirmed rape. The victim said to the police that the accused threatened her and mother of dire consequences due to which they were never able to approach the police.

Girl's mother approached the police after the father raped the girl again on Tuesday, Jun 9. She even sought police protection to her daughter and younger son who was also threatened by the father. The ex-serviceman was working as a security guard in a private firm. He was remanded to judicial custody.
