Canon 7th season of 'Wings of Glory'
New Delhi, May 18: Canon India Pvt. Limited successfully executed the 7th annual 'Wings of Glory' program for the year 2008 to reward its top-performing channel partners.
Under this channel partner engagement program, partners were taken for a four day tour to Hong Kong and Macau along with a trip to Disney Land as a reward for their performance in the past financial year.
'Wings of Glory' was rewarded to acknowledge those partners who did more than Rs 1 crore business with Canon in the previous year and grew by over 30 pc.
Under this motivational program Canon rewarded its top 61 partners across its Channels from all product divisions.
The goal of this unique programme is to build deep involvement , high motivation and bonding of Canon and its partners with a special relationship of collaborating in a unique "out of office" environment to help do "business with pleasure".
This year Canon invited spouses to join to make "thanksgiving" to the family in contributing for high growth in 2008.Canon India's President and CEO, Senior Vice President, all Directors and National Sales Head across all the businesses aompanied the winners.
Commenting on the purpose behind organizing this event, Alok Bharadwaj, Senior Vice President-Canon India said, "As the name suggests Wings of Glory is to glorify the top performing partners with Canon and engage with them to motivate them to outperform themselves.
It is one of Canon's Annual Property that focuses on the growth and business benefits of their esteemed partners. The performance for the last financial year is acknowledged through this platform. This initiative has been running for the past 7 years. The concept has been well accepted by the partners and the experience is being rated as the best in the industry."
During the Awards night, the spouses were invited to receive the special plaque. We feel that instead of us, the spouse of the partners will be pushing them and encourage them to achieve the next year target", he further added.
Canon's 'Wings of Glory' is one of the most aspired channel relationship management programs in the industry. It has motivated partners to continuously better their performance and raise the bar for a better quality performance.
The thrilling rewards also strengthens Canon's bond with them and helps recognize their efforts.
The three divisional heads namely, V P Sajeevan of Consumer System Products, Shunichi Senda of Image Communication Products and Rajeev Tewari of Business Imaging Solutions had individual sessions with respective channel partners during one of the days.
