Indices end green ahead of election results
Mumbai, May 14: Trading higher throughout the day, the Indian benchmark indices closed with good gains ahead of the election results on Saturday, May 15. The Sensex was up 300.87 points or 2.53 pc at 12173.78, and the Nifty was up 81.00 points or 2.25 pc at 3674.45, at 15.28 hrs IST.
Key gainers on the Sensex were Ranbaxy Labs, ICICI Bank, Grasim, Bharti Airtel and Wipro. The market breadth was positive, about 1547 shares advanced, 1200 shares declined, and 373 shares were unchanged.

Good Buying: Markets extend gains
The Sensex was up 315.57 points or 2.66 per cent at 12188.48, and the Nifty was up 86.00 points or 2.39 per cent at 3679.45. The markets extended their gains as a results of good buying seen in the capital good, banking, realty. technology, metal, auto, power and oil & gas sector.
About 1781 shares advanced, 967 shares declined, and 372 shares were unchanged. ONGC, NTPC and BPCL were the top losers. ICICI Bank, Ranbaxy Labs, Bharti Airtel, DLF, Jaiprakash Associates, HCL Tech, ABB and Idea Cellular were the top gainers.}

Indices trading higher; bank, IT stocks surge
Markets are trading higher leading all the BSE secterial indices to green. The Sensex was up 214.14 points or 1.80 pc at 12087.05, and the Nifty was up 61.90 points or 1.72 pc at 3655.35, at 12.01 hrs IST.
Good buying was seen in banks, capital goods, realty, metal, IT and power stocks. Stocks like Reliance, Infosys, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel and L&T were the major gainers. The market breadth was positive, about 1804 shares advanced, 926 shares declined, and 389 shares were unchanged.

Indices open +ve on strong global cues
Taking cues from the global markets, Indian benchmark indices open strong and higher on Friday, May 15. The Sensex was up 170 at 12045, and the Nifty was up 48 points at 3642, at 9.57 hrs IST.
Stocks like ICICI Bank, HDFC, Axis Bank, DLF, L&T, Sun Pharma, Suzlon Energy, Cairn India, BHEL, Maruti Suzuki, Sterlite and Nalco were among the major gainers on the bourses. However, Hero Honda, Great Offshore and Bharati Shipyard were trading lower.
Indices like metal, banks, capital goods, realty and power were up by 1-2 per cent.
