AIADMK workers throw stones at Chidambaram's son

Chennai, May 13: Union Home Minister P Chidambaram's son Karthi was reportedly attacked by miscreants at a village in Sivaganga Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday, May 12 night. Congress party alleged that AIADMK men were responsible for the attack.

Sources said that the incident occurred when Karthi Chidamabaram was proceeding to Thirupuvanam with his party members after attending a party meeting in Manamadurai. Near Rajagambeeram, AIADMK men allegedly blocked his car and forced the passengers to get down, alleging that they were taking money to distribute to the voters. However Karthik refused to get out of the car, after which the mob pelted stones at the car.

Police said that Karthi's left hand is injured in the incident. The car driver is injured and the Windshield of the car is broken. Karthi later registered a police complaint against the AIADMK workers.
