PM to address election rally in Kanpur today

Kanpur, Apr 25 (ANI): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will address an election rally at the Motijheel Maidan today.

Dr. Singh will address a rally for Congress candidate and Union Minister of State for Home Shriprakash Jaiswal.

During his visit, the Prime Minister will also be felicitated by Ganga devotees for declaring the river as a national heritage.

It would be the first visit of Dr. Singh to the city since the Ganga being given heritage status.

Tight security arrangements have been made in view of his visit.

The polling will be held here under third phase on April 30. (ANI)
