Sonia Gandhi slams BJP for making terrorism as its poll plank
Bansgaon (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 5 (ANI): United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Sunday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for making terrorism its poll plank.
Addressing a public rally in Uttar Pradesh, Sonia said that the BJP leaders should recall several terror attacks that took place when they were in power.
"The biggest tension of the Congress is that what all efforts will be required to pace up the development process for the backward areas and weaker classes. The BJP does not have any issue, thus, they are making terrorism as their poll plank. They should be asked that when our Parliament was attacked, who was in power? It was the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government who was in power that time," Gandhi said while addressing a public rally at Bansgaon region in Uttar Pradesh.
Gandhi also blamed BJP's prime ministerial candidate Lal Krishna Advani for allegedly raising fingers and using bad language against Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
"I feel that it should have been good if Advani should have done introspection of his bad governance, instead of raising finger and using abusive words for our clean image prime minister," Gandhi added. (ANI)
