Country looking forward to continued service of Manmohan Singh: Sonia Gandhi
New Delhi, Mar 9 (ANI): United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Monday said that the country looked forward to Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's continued service.
She also said that many leaders in the Congress party were favouring Rahul Gandhi as PM in the near future.
According to the latest issue of 'Congress Sandesh', Rahul has brought a new hope among the youth by his hard work in the past few years. This is the reason that the Congresspersons across the country are looking forward to see him as India's Prime Minister in the near future.
Sonia in her 'letter to Congresspersons' hailed Dr. Manmohan Singh for providing wise, sagacious and dignified leadership to the Congress-led UPA government.
"He has listened to all points of view and then taken decisions in the supreme national interest. He commands the greatest of respect and credibility both in India and abroad. We will look forward to his continued services to the party and the country," she said. (ANI)
