Pakistan sacks special public prosecutor of Mumbai attack case
Islamabad, Feb.27 (ANI): Nearly two weeks after he claimed that Islamabad had 'officially' demanded the custody of Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone surviving Mumbai terrorist, Pakistan on Friday sacked its special public prosecutor for the Mumbai attack case, Sardar Mohammad Ghazi.
According to a notification issued by Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, Ghazi has also been removed from the post of Deputy Attorney General.
According to Dawn Television, Ghazi, on February 18, had said that Pakistan has formally requested New Delhi to hand over Kasab to speed up the Mumbai attack investigations.
However, Pakistan's Foreign Office immediately refuted the claims, saying that no such demand had been made. (ANI)
