Separatists call for demilitarisation in Kashmir
Srinagar, Feb 23 (ANI): In the leadership of senior separatist Hurriyat leader Zaffar Akbar Bhat, separatists took out a mass march rally through the streets here on Monday, demanding demilitarisation in the valley.
They were protesting against the killing of two youths, allegedly by security personnel on Saturday.
The activists were very critical of the Army personnel in the valley and charged them of intimidating the local population.
Senior Hurriyat leader and the chairman of Salvation movement, Zaffar Akbar Bhat said, "When you killed people, is it zero tolerance? When you attack innocent people like old age people, women and children, is it zero tolerance? Deployment of army in our orchards and fertile land and demilitarisation is imperative for zero tolerance. Until there is demilitarisation, zero tolerance is meaningless. If there is zero tolerance you have to start withdrawal of forces urgently and stop the killing of innocent people." (ANI)
