Amy Winehouse collapses on St Lucia Island

London, Feb 14 (ANI): Troubled singer Amy Winehouse was rushed the hospital after she collapsed on the island of St Lucia.

The 25-year-old singer was in "a shaking mess" as she was rushed in.

She had been staying at the Caribbean isle while battling heroin and crack cocaine addiction.

According to sources, the Back to back hitmaker was drinking heavily.

"She looked in a terrible state, a shaking mess. The people with her were very concerned," the Sun quoted a source as saying.

A spokesman for Winehouse confirmed that she was in hospital.

He said that she had run out of a drug replacement she has been using.

However, she is said to be recovering well, and expected to leave hospital shortly. (ANI)
