46 activists of Hindu org arrested on V-Day
Bhopal, Feb 14: Atleast 46 activists of right-wing Hindu organisations have been arrested on Valentine's Day in Bhopal and Gwalior on Saturday, Feb 14. The activists were trying to create trouble in public places, police said.
"Thirty-five Shiv Sainiks were arrested after they stormed into a zoo, Gandhi Prani Udhinyan, in Inderganj police station area in Gwalior looking for lovelorn couples," Gwalior Superintendent of Police U K Suryavanshi told.
"In Bhopal, police took into preventive custody seven Shiv Sainiks and four activists of Sanskriti Bachao Manch (SBM) who were hanging around Madhya Pradesh Higher Secondary Board office and Chinar Park allegedly to create trouble," Additional Superintendent of Police (City) A K Pandey said.
"We made these arrests to prevent trouble," he added. The arrests in Gwalior and Bhopal were made under Section 151 of CrPC, under which a person can be taken into custody to prevent commission of offence.
