18 Pakistani fishermen arrested in Kutch

Karachi, Feb 11: Indian officials on Wednesday, Feb 11 arrested 18 Pakistani fishermen near Jakhau port in Kutch, Gujarat, serveing two boats belonging to Karachi harbour.

On Friday, Jan 16 the Indian Coast guard had taken into custody, two Pakistani boats with 17 Pakistanis off the Gujarat coast.

After taking into custody, the ICG ship towed it to Jakhau coast, where all the arrested personnel were being interrogated.

The Mumbai terror attacks have signalled for severe patrolling along the coast. Terrorists had hijacked a fishing trawler called Kuber, off the coast of Gujarat.
