Nepal keen to resolve disputes with India

Kathmandu, Jan 24: Nepal Foreign Affairs Minister Upendra Yadav has said Nepal govt is very serious about resolving the outstanding border disputes existing both between India and Nepal.

Nepalnews quoted him as saying that the govt has taken diplomatic initiatives to solve the border issues. He also claimed that apart from the Susta and the Kalapani areas there are no major border issues between the two countries.

He made these remarks at a meeting of parliamentary Committee of International Affairs and Human Rights after its members accused the government of not being serious enough towards resolving border disputes with India.

The Committee had summoned the Foreign Minister and foreign secretary to learn about the steps being taken by the government so far to resolve disputes with India.
