Mamata Banerjee, politician turns singer?
Kolkata, Jan 14: She is well known for her fiery speeches which have often made headlines. But Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee is in news now for a new reason. In a recent reality TV show for aspiring singers, Mamata decided to display her talents too.
She has been on stage for countless times before, but this time it was the role of a singer which she played. Mamata started with a few words for the audience. She said, "At night no tension....only relaxation... music can give you inspiration." She sang the patriotic song 'Ae mere watan ke logo' sung by legend singer Lata Mangeshkar. Mamata Baneerjee, an activist, a politician, and now a singer. When asked if in the future she would like to do anything related to music, she replied, "of course, if I get the opportunity I will surely do it."
