Playstation 3, Wii games top Oz burglars' wish list!
Melbourne, Jan 13 (ANI): Computers games like Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii are not just popular among youngsters, for even the burglars love the gaming consoles, says new Aussie research.
According to latest data from RACV Insurance, games consoles are topping the wish list for thieves in Australia.
Other lucrative items for burglars include jewellery and watches, digital cameras, cash, laptops, MP3 players, sunglasses and televisions.
"Traditionally thieves have focused on jewellery. However the technology boom has created a lucrative alternative because most electronic items are so popular, highly portable and valuable," The Herald Sun quoted RACV Insurance spokeswoman Susan Allen as saying.
She added: "We have noticed an increase in home content claims in relation to game consoles such as Playstation3 and Wii as these items become more popular with adults as well as children."
Allen also cautioned that people should hide their games consoles when away from home. (ANI)
