Karzai arrived here on a two-day visit on Jan 11 against the backdrop of chill in Indo-Pak relations. He was accompanied by Foreign Minister Rangeen Dadfar Spanta and National Security Adviser, Zalmay Rasoul. He will return home this evening, Jan 12.
Since the 26/11 Mumbai deadly attacks in Mumbai, Afghan-India relations have gained fresh importance. This is Karzai's second visit to India in five months. Karzai visited India immediately after the suicide attack on Indian Embassy in Kabul in July, in which at least 41 people were killed.
