6-year-old Brit, not wanting to miss school, drives family car and crashes!
London, January 7 (ANI): A six-year-old Brit boy, who had missed his bus and was keen on getting to school, tried to wheel his family car, and subsequently crashed.
The boy, from Virginia, decided to drive the 2005 Ford Taurus, while his mother was asleep, and went off the road many times, eventually ramming into an embankment and utility pole.
He was not wearing the seat belt and had suffered minor injuries, reports the Telegraph.
Sergeant Tom Cunningham revealed that the boy was later escorted to school after being checked by doctors at a local hospital.
Sheriff Chuck Wilkins said: He was very intent on getting to school When he got out of the car, he started walking to school. He did not want to miss breakfast and PE."
Following the incident, the lad's parents have been charged with child endangerment.
While his mother has not been offered bail, his father has been released. (ANI)
