SAP urges India, Pakistan to preserve resources, instead of waging war
Lahore, Jan.1 (ANI): Expressing serious concern about the deteriorating relations between India and Pakistan, the South Asia Partnership (SAP) has said that precious and scarce resources must be converted for the welfare of the people instead of them being wasted on war.
The SAP said that war between countries is a sheer wastage of resources in the name of national security.
Condemning the Mumbai terror attack, a statement issued by the partnership said that terrorism in any shape and form should not be tolerated or encouraged.
Referring to war rhetoric coming out of both India and Pakistan, the SAP said political leaders must refrain from issuing statements that arouse war hysteria among the people.
Both nations needed to join hands to eliminate terrorism once for all. (ANI)
