Bush on last visit to Texas ranch as President

Washington, December 28 (ANI): While U.S. President-elect Barack Obama is vacationing with his family in Hawaii, George W. Bush is making his last visit as President to his Texas ranch.

Bush was accompanied by the First Lady and his parents on his last presidential visit home. Also accompanying him was his dog Barney.

This is Bush's 77th visit home since he took office, reports CBS News.

The online report also says that Bush's seven-day stay will bring to 490 the number of full or partial days he has spent at the ranch as President.

According to the report, he has plans to open a presidential library and policy centre on the Dallas campus of Southern Methodist University.

His wife Laura is a proud alumnus of the same institution.

The report also suggests that the Bush family has purchased a home in Dallas, which is said to have been seen only by the First Lady.

A spokesman has denied that the President has any plans to use this trip to get a look at the place.

The spokesman said that Bush would have plenty of time to see the home after January 20, the day when Obama takes the oath of office. (ANI)
