There is a threat for Nepal's constitution: Prachanda
Kathmandu, Dec 20: Nepal Prime Minister Prachanda has urged everybody to remain vigilant over addressing the people's aspiration for a change in the new constitution since there is a danger of it ending up just like the 'traditional one'.
Launching a book at his official residence in Baluwatar on Friday, Dec 19 Prachanda also pointed at the possibility of 'status quoits' trampling on the aspirations of the people by trying to thwart the constitution-making process.
"The government will leave no stones unturned to conserve the unique cultural tradition of Nepal," he added.
Even though Nepal is a small country, the unique blend of various cultures, traditions and languages found here provide equal opportunity for a better change, Nepalnews quoted him as saying.
By taking the peace process to its logical conclusion, Prachanda said, "We are in a position to set an example not only in South Asia but for the whole world."
