Zardari, Gilani vow to safeguard country's defence

Islamabad, Dec. 15 (ANI): Pakistans's President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani here on Monday expressed their resolve to safeguard the country's defence and security and that Pakistan will itself investigate the elements posing threats in this regard.

Earlier, the Prime Minister held an important meeting with the President here at Aiwan-e-Sadar where Advisor to Prime Minister on National Security Mehmood Ali Durrani was also present.

The meeting discussed Pak- India tension, violation of Pakistan's air space, war on terror and the country's political situation besides other issues, The News reported.

Sources of Aiwan-e-Sadr told Geo News that the Zardari and Gilani vowed to carry on action against the anti-country elements until the country is completely cleansed of terrorism and militancy.(ANI)
