Guwahati reports bird flu, poultry banned
Guwahati, Dec 11: Reports of fresh outbreak of the deadly bird flu came from Guwahati of Assam on Thursday, Dec 11. Authorities have started culling thousands of chickens and ducks, a ban has been imposed on all sale and purchase of poutry products there.
Shops selling raw or cooked chicken are to be temporarily closed and hotels in and around the area have been asked not to sell chicken.
