Bali (Indonesia), Nov.29 : Indian President Pratibha Devisingh Patil will cut short her visit to Indonesia by two days and go to Mumbai to visit relatives of the police officials who laid down their lives during this week's terror strikes.
Officials accompanying the President on her ten-day state visit to Vietnam and Indonesia, said on Saturday that Patil would also visit hospitals in Mumbai to meet the survivors of the attacks and commiserate with them.
They said that the President would arrive in the city on December 1 at 5.45 p.m., and pay personal visits to the homes of Hemant Karkare, the former chief of Mumbai's Anti-Terror Squad, encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar and Additional Commissioner of Police Ashok Kamte to express her support and solidarity with their respective families.
She would thereafter visit surviving victims at various hospitals in the city and meet with Maharashtra Government officials.
The President would leave for New Delhi on December 2, the officials said.
