Oz PM Kevin Rudd would gladly tear up passport to avoid overseas visits
Melbourne, November 29 : Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has got so fed up with all the travelling he has had to do thus far that he says he would gladly tear up his passport.
He is said to have spent one in five days criss-crossing the globe since he was elected prime minister a year ago.
According to reports, he was sounding croaky and looking a tad weary on Friday.
"I would happily not get on a plane again in my life," news.com.au quoted the jet-lagged PM as saying.
However, there are more official visits waiting for Rudd, who will board his RAAF 737 for a 16-hour return flight to Bali in just 12 days.
The Bali trip will take Rudd's global travel to more than 70 days since his election.
He will also be visiting Thailand for the ASEAN summit before clocking out for Christmas.
