Mah govt announces Rs 5 lakh compensation to kin of deceased

Mumbai, Nov 27 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil today announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the kin of those killed in the terrorist attacks in the city since late last night.

Mr Patil, who is also the state Home Minister, in a release also announced a compensation of Rs 50,000 to those injured in the firing.

According to the latest official figures, 101 people were killed, while 228 sustained injuries.
