Kim Cattrall, Sharon Stone poised to return for new Police Academy film

London, Nov 27 : Kim Cattrall and Sharon Stone may reprise their roles of comedy cops in a brand new Police Academy movie.

The duo, who shot to fame in the comedy flicks, will bring back the comedy along with co-star Steve Guttenberg.

"We are doing a new movie and it is going to be great fun. A script is being written and so far it is really great, everyone from the original movies who is still around will return," The Sun quoted as saying.

He added: "I know Kim and Sharon have been asked but they haven't said yes yet. It would be really great to have them onboard."

Although Steve had left the series after the fourth film, he has claimed that he now regrets the decision.

The 50-year-old explained: "I loved doing the Police Academy films. They gave me so much opportunity, and I've got nothing but good memories of that time.

"I turned down Short Circuit 2 too and I now wish I hadn't. Sequels are a lot of fun and you get to hang out with all your friends. I wish I hadn't turned those down."
