Prez Pratibha Patil arrives in Vietnam on 4-day visit
Ho Chi Minh City, Nov 24: President Pratibha Devisingh Patil arrived here on Monday, Nov 24 on a four-day state visit to Vietnam.
On her arrival, she was accorded a red carpet welcome by senior Vietnam Communist Party leaders. People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City vice-chairperson Nguyen Thi Hong, Director General of south of south east department of foreign office and Director General, foreign affairs, Government of Ho Chi Minh City were also present on the occasion. During her stay here for two days, she will have a meeting with Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Le Hoang Quan, who will be hosting a dinner in her honour.
Before the meeting, Ms Patil will be visiting the historic Reunification Palace, where the Unification of north Vietnam and South Vietnam had taken place in 1975, which was earlier Known as Norodom Palace and Independence Palace.
