26 yrs passed, woman keeps ray of hope for release of husband

Jaunpur, Nov 24 (UNI) Akin to Sarabjeet's family, a woman of this district is fighting hard to release her innocent husband from Pakistan jail.

Kanchan Singh of Maehdeeh village had not even thought that she would lose her husband Dashrath Singh alive in the manner.

Twenty-six years ago, he had left his home for some work and is yet to come back.

However, it was only after 18 years of long duration that Kanchan got to know that he was incarcerated in Pakistan.

Leaving no stone unturned from the at day, the woman recently dashed-off a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President Pratibha Devisingh Patil for the release of the innocent man.

Dashrath's only son resides in Mumbai, while his wife was making efforts for his release from the native district.

Prior to this case, Sarabjeet of Punjab had been in news for his release from the Pakistan prison.
