TJBS to open branches across the country: Bank Chairman
Thane, Nov 23 (UNI) The Thane Janata Sahakari Bank (TJSB) will now extend its limits to other states of the country, Bank Chairman Vidhyadhar Vaishampayan said here today.
Addressing a press conference, he said the TJSB has received a Multistate Registration from Central Registrar of Co-operative Societies and will now be able to operate outside the state of Maharashtra.
The Bank has already received a no objection certificate from Karnataka for opening its branches there, he said. The bank also plans to expand its base in adjacent states like Karnataka, Gujarat and Goa, he said.
Mr Vaishampayan further said that under its IT initiatives, the bank has tied up with ''BANCS'' for accessing other banks ATM network pan India with major banks like IDBI, AXIS Bank and Bank of India.
He said in the first half of the current financial year, the bank has recorded an impressive growth, with the deposits reaching Rs 2,237.95 crore from Rs 200 crore. During this period, the capital adequacy ratio was 14.90 per cent and gross profit stood at Rs 20.57 crore.
