Smriti Irani's copter makes emergency landing
Jabalpur, Nov 23 (UNI) A helicopter carrying BJP star campaigner and television artiste Smriti 'Tulsi' Irani, who is on the campaign trail in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh, made an emergency landing in a forest adjoining Mandla district's Chowki Chijhora village following technical fault involving engine overheating today.
''Irani, her husband and pilot were among five people aboard the chopper that took off from Jabalpur Airport at about 1330 hrs and headed for Balaghat district's Waraseoni. Police and local BJP workers rushed to the village,'' Bijadandi Station House Officer Vivek Chouhan said over telephone.
The artiste's Waraseoni meeting was cancelled and she was reportedly returning here by road.
