'Govt incurred a debt of 21 cr under BJP rule'
Chhindwara, MP, Nov 22: Union Commerce and Industry Minister Kamalnath on Saturday, Nov 22 alleged that debt burden has been constantly increasing under the BJP rule in Madhya Pradesh. In a release issued Mr Kamalnath said every citizen was under average debt of Rs 9,750. He claimed that the government had incurred debt of about Rs 21 crore every day during the BJP rule.
The Chhindwara MP said the Centre had provided Rs one lakh crore to the government in the past five years but still adequate development of the state did not take place.
He said the government had incurred a debt of Rs 28,964 crore during the BJP rule. The debt burden was constantly increasing.
He pointed out that the Congress had incurred a debt of mere 18,440 crore between 1993 to 2003.
