Obama's win, pride of Columbia College

Washington, Nov 21: Columbia College one of the oldest colleges in United States will finally have one of its alumni in the Oval Office. And if the transition chatter is accurate, Barack Obama will choose as his attorney general Eric Holder, another graduate of the 254-year old Ivy League college on New York's Morningside Heights.

University President Lee G Bollinger said in a release, "We note with pride Obama's election," a day after the Presidential elections results were declared. "We are reminded of the university's core commitment to public service and its tradition of producing outstanding leaders for our nation and our world," he added.

He also said that David Paterson, the New York Governor is also a Columbia graduate. Columbia College is a part of the larger Columbia University.
